Dear Valued Customer,

This letter serves to inform you of an upcoming regulatory change regarding Energizer battery jackets

destined for the European Union (EU) market. All batteries sold within the EU will be required to carry the

CE marking in accordance with the new EU Battery Regulation (Regulation 2023/1542) and the official

enforcement date CE marking is August 18, 2024.

The new regulation introduces requirements associated with a CE conformity assessment of batteries. This

means that all batteries, regardless of whether they are used in a product or supplied separately, need to

be CE marked according to this regulation.

At Energizer Holdings, we are committed to ensuring our products comply with the latest regulations. In

anticipation of this change, we are pleased to announce that all our AA and AAA sized Energizer battery

jackets will be updated to include the CE marking by April 2024. Production of these updated jackets will

commence shortly thereafter, ensuring timely shipment for your May orders.

There will be no changes to the functionality, dimension or performance of your existing AA and AAA sized

Energizer battery jackets. The CE marking simply signifies compliance with relevant EU safety directives

as outlined in Regulation 2023/1542. The battery continues to meet the IEC and ANSI Industry standards

for safety, fit and function.

For battery jackets in sizes other than AA and AAA, we are currently undergoing the CE marking process

and will provide further updates as they become available. In the meantime, you can continue to place

orders for these sizes.
